- A: Nonprofit organizations are selected on an event by event basis.
- Q: How are the photos licensed?
- A: The photographer retains ownership the photos.
- A: Individuals are granted a personal use license of the images. They may print and share the photos on social media. They may not use the photos commercially or sell the photos.
- A: The nonprofit organization is granted a license to use the photos taken at the event for marketing and for other fund raising activities like calendars. The nonprofit may not extend the license to another business or nonprofit without the consent of the photographer.
- A: When invited by a host, the event host is granted a license to use the photos for marketing purposes. They may extend the license to another business or nonprofit without the consent of the photographer.
- Q: Does DogSportsPhotos.org allow other photographers at events they are shooting?
- A: DogSportsPhotos.org does not seek out exclusivity at events. We think everyone should be welcome!
- Q: Does DogSportsPhotos.org shoot when there is a host sponsored photographer(s)?
- A: No. If DogSportsPhotos.org is not the host sponsored photographer and the host has a different photographer, we won’t plan to shoot that event.
